of <h1>Director Appointed as Development Commissioner for SEZs in West Bengal and Orissa under Section 11 of SEZ Act 2005</h1> The Central Government has appointed the Director of Software Technology Parks of India, Borjhar, as the Development Commissioner for Special Economic Zones (SEZ) under Section 11 of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The appointee will oversee SEZs developed by entities including Unitech Hi-tech Structures Ltd., Bengal Shapoorji Developers Pvt. Ltd., Bata India Limited, Oval Developers Pvt. Ltd., and DLF Limited in West Bengal and Orissa. The Director will follow instructions from the Central Government, Department of Commerce, and the Board of Approval, and will report periodically. Personal administrative matters will be managed by the Department of Information Technology or the Software Technology Park of India.
