      Summary: Definitive anti-dumping duty is imposed on resin-bonded wood or ligneous fibre boards (thickness >2mm and <6mm, with specified exclusions) originating in or exported from China PR, Indonesia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka. Duties are set as the difference between prescribed US dollar amounts and the landed value per cubic metre, with country-, producer- and exporter-specific rates listed in the Table. Exchange rate for calculation is as per notifications under the Customs Act, and the duty is effective for eighteen months from Gazette publication and payable in Indian currency.

      Option to close cases of default in Export Obligation
      Summary: An option is provided to regularise past defaults in Export Obligation by payment of the corresponding customs duty for the shortfall together with interest calculated from the date of import to date of payment, with interest capped so it does not exceed the customs duty payable. Customs duty may be paid in cash or by debiting valid duty credit scrips, but the interest must be paid in cash. Payment must be completed by 31 March 2014 and separate procedural and reporting instructions will be issued.
