State's net GST receipts jump 21.5% year-to-date to Rs 15,683.59 crore; October up 14.46% despite floods, rate cuts
The state reported a 21.51% year-to-date increase in net GST receipts to Rs 15,683.59 crore for April-October 2025 and a 14.46% rise for October alone, attributed to strengthened compliance, anti-evasion measures and digital monitoring despite severe floods and recent GST 2.0 rate rationalisation that lowered several slabs. Officials said October net collections were Rs 2,359.16 crore versus Rs 2,061.23 crore a year earlier. Post-settlement SGST and IGST figures reportedly confirm strong fiscal position, with cumulative receipts outpacing most neighbouring states, reflecting effective enforcement and tax administration reforms.
