<h1>Regional government and German delegation propose Joint Steering Committee to boost green energy, skills, research, startups, and student exchanges</h1> A state deputy chief minister and a visiting German consular delegation reviewed existing bilateral cooperation and agreements on skill migration, vocational training, language instruction and a state-to-state partnership, and proposed forming a Maharashtra-Germany Joint Steering Committee to coordinate green energy, sustainable mobility, smart cities, research and startup collaboration, higher education exchanges and cultural ties. The state pledged administrative support to resolve regulatory and operational obstacles faced by German investors and sought increased employment pathways in Germany for its youth and raised concerns about Indian students' challenges there. The initiative foresees technology transfer, workforce development, foreign investment and access to new markets.
