<h1>Government postpones Kharif loan repayments and defers tubewell electricity bills, pays compensation and crop relief to farmers</h1> The state government announced relief measures for flood-affected farmers, postponing repayment of Kharif crop loans from cooperatives where over 33% of crops were damaged and deferring agricultural tubewell electricity bills until December 2025 (with bills due July 2025 payable by January 2026 without surcharge). Compensation of Rs 4.72 crore was transferred to 2,386 households for house and cattle losses, and 5.37 lakh farmers have registered crop damage; verified farmers will receive Rs 15,000 per acre before Diwali. Around 3 lakh farmers will benefit from loan repayment postponement and affected farmers will be eligible for Rabi season crop loans.
