The agency has already restituted assets totaling Rs 31,951 crore, with Rs 15,261.15 crore restored in the previous fiscal year. Under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, the ED can restore assets to legitimate claimants before trial completion, focusing on cases involving real estate, Ponzi schemes, and other financial crimes.
