Monthly exports exceeded USD 30 billion consistently, with March 2022 alone seeing exports worth USD 40.38 billion. Significant growth was noted in non-petroleum exports, particularly in engineering goods, which grew by 45.5%. Agricultural exports also saw remarkable growth, with projections to exceed 10 million tons of wheat exports in 2022-23. The government emphasized efforts to support exporters, particularly in labor-intensive sectors and MSMEs, through initiatives like ODOP and PLIs. The Minister of Commerce and Industry credited the collective efforts of various stakeholders for this achievement.
