The Kerala Local Government and Service Delivery Project aims to improve infrastructure and support decentralization by providing gram panchayats and municipalities with performance grants and capacity-building resources. The initiative seeks to improve service delivery in areas such as water, roads, sanitation, health, and education. The project will benefit 978 gram panchayats and 60 municipalities, with indirect benefits extending across the state. The International Development Association will provide the credit with favorable terms, including a 35-year maturity and a 10-year grace period.
