DVAT rate on soil

N R CONSULTING N R CONSULTING

Dear Sir,

Our client collects Construction and demolition wastes . they sell 'SOIL' which they get after segregating all other components of the waste collected. Pls confirm whether it can be exempted from DVAT liability. According to me it should be taxed under 12.5%.

Warm regards.

Consulting Firm Queries DVAT Applicability on Soil from Construction Waste; Advised to Seek Advance Ruling for Clarification. A consulting firm inquires about the applicability of the Delhi Value Added Tax (DVAT) on soil obtained from segregating construction and demolition waste. They believe it should be taxed at 12.5%. The response indicates that the DVAT Tax Schedule does not specify the taxability of soil, suggesting that the firm seek clarification from the DVAT Department by applying for an advance ruling or determination of disputed questions (DDQ).
