Dear Sir,
I need guidance for SEZ export, if we are supply goods in the SEZ unit and we are preparing Tax Invoice in INR and also providing them USD invoice for BOE filing. Bill of export (BOE)showing both USD and INR value. We are getting payment in INR through cheque/RTGS, can we get BRC from bank in USD for such case or only in INR we can get BRC. ( SEZ supply under Advance Autho. Lice)
if SEZ BOE is filed in INR only and payment also received in INR then can we get BRC in USD?
Please guide for above both situations.
Clarification on Issuing Bank Realization Certificate in USD for SEZ Supplies When Payments Are in INR A query was raised regarding the issuance of a Bank Realization Certificate (BRC) in USD for goods supplied to a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) when payments are received in INR. The first response clarified that a BRC in USD cannot be obtained unless payment is received in USD, as foreign currency remittance is necessary for export incentives under SEZ laws. The second response suggested obtaining a certificate from the SEZ company's banker if the payment is made in INR, referencing a directive from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
