Dealer Seeks GST Cancellation to Benefit from 20 Lakh Exemption; Re-registration Planned Once Threshold is Exceeded. A dealer mistakenly registered for GST without realizing the 20 lakh exemption limit and now wishes to cancel the registration to avail the exemption. The dealer plans to re-register only after exceeding the threshold. An expert clarified that registration can be canceled anytime via the common portal, and re-registration is possible upon crossing the threshold. Other participants endorsed this advice, confirming that cancellation is feasible if turnover remains below the limit. (AI Summary)
