GST on school uniform items

Abhishek Jain

Dear sir,

Our business model in brief is as follows:

1. We buy cloth and other material. Students come to us and give measurement and accordingly we stitch uniform for them (Shirt, trouser etc.). For doing the stitching work we have tailors on roll and we also give it to outsiders on job work basis. All finished items are sold at a price below ₹ 1000 per item except blazers which costs more than ₹ 1000

2. We also buy readymde garments(hosiery items like tshirt, track suits etc.) all are sokd at a price below ₹ 1000 per item and shoes all are sold at a price above ₹ 500 per pair from our supplier. Which we sell to students.

Please help me in identifying the correct gst rates for the above to activities and RCM on Job work as mentioned in point mumber one.

Thanks & Regards

The business involves purchasing cloth and materials to stitch uniforms, which are sold for less than 1000 per item, except blazers. They also sell readymade garments and shoes, with hosiery items priced below 1000 and shoes above 500.
