Textile Exporter Seeks Guidance on GST for Pumps and Engineering Goods; Clarification on Tax Exemption and Documentation Needed An exporter of textile products seeks guidance on exporting pumps and engineering goods, specifically regarding GST obligations. The manufacturer has included GST in the quote, and the exporter wants to know if GST must be paid and what documentation is needed for tax exemption. A respondent clarifies that exported goods are not subject to GST, but the GST amount and rate should be noted on export documents. If GST is paid, it can be claimed as a rebate by either the exporter or the manufacturer. (AI Summary)
