E-way bill for inward supply from unregister

Allauddin Patel

Dear sir / madam,,

I have confusion regarding generation of e-way by registered taxpayer if he purchase goods from unregister person, we issue self invoice (rcm ) and how to generate e-way bill for movement of goods ?

E-way bill for purchases from unregistered suppliers: generate e-way if consignment value Rs. 50,000+ and include tax. A registered recipient must generate an e-way bill for goods received from an unregistered supplier when the consignment value is Rs. 50,000 or more; exempt goods are excluded. For taxable goods the recipient can generate the e-way bill based on a self-invoice issued under reverse charge, and must record inward supply details and disclose applicable tax amounts on the invoice so the value and tax information support threshold and reporting obligations. In the subject situation case, you being registered the recipient have to generate e-way bill, if the value of goods is 50000/- and above for the movement of consignment in terms of Rule 138 of the CGST Rules.

Is this exempt goods or the supplier is not registered due to lower turnover.

In case of exempt goods, there is no requirement to generate e-way bill.

if these are taxable goods, then based on your self invoice you can issue the e-way bill.
