GST paid on commission for the purchase of land for new set up

Ashok Chopra

Respected Forum,

Please clear my query:

Our unit having four different locations and all are registered under GST.

WE are in the process to set up new factory in the same name and will purchase land after 01.07.2017. We will pay commission to property dealer for the purchase of land and property dealer will charge GST on the amount of commission.

Can we take the credit of GST ?

Input tax credit eligibility on broker commission for land purchase questioned for new factory setup. Whether payment of GST by a property broker on commission for procuring land intended for a new factory raises entitlement to input tax credit across the claimant's multiple GST registrations, focusing on GST charged on the dealer's commission and the land's intended business use.
