Dear Sir's,
Please advice me if We have two plants in 10 KM Distance and we are manufacturing some goods in one plant then can we do the billing from second plant to customer by transferring goods from first plant to second plant on STO bases and then bill to customers.
If No what is the procedure like packaging and testing or we should bill from the same plant where the manufacturing activity is running .
Billing Procedure for Goods Sold Between Plants 10 km Apart: Use Stock Transfer Invoice, Pay Excise Duty at First Plant A user inquired about the procedure for billing goods manufactured at one plant and sold through another plant located 10 km away. The response clarified that goods can be transferred between plants using a stock transfer invoice, and subsequently sold from the second plant with a sales invoice. If both plants are in the same state, no additional forms are needed, but excise duty must be paid when goods leave the first plant. It was confirmed that no value addition is required at the second plant before selling to the customer. (AI Summary)
