POT rule on ddebtors

Guest

Dear Sir,

If in my books Debtors of ₹ 100000/- is stood i.e. Service provided and invoice raised before 31st May 2016 but payment not received then whether Krishi Kalyan cess would be paid? However i had already paid service tax on 1 lacs before 31st May 2016.

Krishi Kalyan Cess Applies to Pre-June 2016 Invoices if Payment Made After Effective Date; Consensus Reached A query was raised regarding the applicability of Krishi Kalyan Cess (KKC) on services provided and invoiced before 31st May 2016, with payment not yet received. Initially, it was suggested that KKC would not apply since it became effective from 1st June 2016. However, another participant argued that KKC is applicable based on the service amount payment, not the service tax payment. This view was supported by others, leading to a consensus that KKC should be applied despite the initial service tax payment before the effective date. (AI Summary)
