SOYABEAN GST RATE AND HSN IN TAX INVOICE

Allauddin Patel

Dear sir/ madam

If we purchase soyabean( yellow seeds) from farmers and sell to registered dealer or factory, what is GST rate and full HSN code shoul we mention in tax invoice ?

Seed quality soyabeans HSN 1201 90 00 nil-rated; non-seed soyabeans HSN 1201 attract 5% GST - invoice accordingly If the soyabeans purchased from farmers are unprocessed seed-quality (for sowing), they fall under HSN 1201 90 00 and are nil-rated for GST; if they are other than seed quality (not for sowing), they fall under HSN 1201 (other than seed quality) and attract 5% GST. For tax invoices to registered dealers or factories, state the appropriate HSN code and apply nil rate for seed-quality soyabeans or 5% GST for non-seed-quality soyabeans. (AI Summary)
