I want to know what documents will be required for renewal of LUT.

Documents Needed for Renewing Letter of Undertaking: Cover Letter, Previous Approval, Export Details, New LUT on 100 Stamp Paper. A user inquired about the documents required for the renewal of a Letter of Undertaking (LUT). The response outlined that the LUT must be renewed annually and requires a covering letter requesting renewal, the previous year's approval letter from the jurisdictional authority, export details from the validity period, and a new LUT on a 100 stamp paper valid for one year. Dear Friend,

LUT is required to be renewed once in 12 calender months

for getting renewal, you may have to submit the following:

  • Covering letter requesting for Renewal of LUT
  • Letter issued by your Jurisdictional AC/DC approving LUT for previous year
  • Details of exports effected under the LUT during the validity period with details of POEs received and pending receipt of POEs ( In other words , you may have to take the details form the Annexure-19s submitted by you )
  • LUT on a stamp paper of ₹ 100/- with validity for 12 calender months ( one year) etc.,
  • Any other document that may be relevant
