Company A Can Claim Service Tax Credit for AMC Services Under Rule 2(l) of Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004. A query was raised regarding whether Company A, a manufacturer, can claim service tax credit for charges on AMC services related to IT software, machine maintenance, and UPS. The discussion highlighted that under rule 2(l) of the Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004, input services used by a manufacturer in relation to the manufacture of final products are eligible for service tax credit. Experts in the forum agreed that Company A is entitled to claim the credit, but advised verifying the taxability of their products. (AI Summary)
