SFIS Scrip

Narendra Singh

Dear All,

We have a Travel agency in Jaipur and have been exporting services from last 8 years. Last year we got SFIS scrip, Served From India Scheme from the DGFT by which we can either import any capital goods without paying the import duty or get the exemption of excise duty if the goods is produced domestically.

Please help us in importing a car or getting the excise exemption if we go for domestic marks.

Thanks

Narendra SINGH

Travel Agency Seeks Clarification on Import Duty Exemption for Cars Under SFIS and FTP 2009-2014 Guidelines A travel agency in Jaipur has been exporting services for eight years and received an SFIS scrip under the Served From India Scheme from the DGFT. This allows them to import capital goods without import duty or receive excise duty exemption on domestically produced goods. The agency seeks advice on importing a car or obtaining excise exemption for domestic goods. A consulting firm advised reviewing specific paragraphs of the FTP 2009-2014 and related documents. The agency requested further clarification on these references due to difficulty in understanding them. (AI Summary)
