Offset Printing Machine Import: Meeting EPCG Export Obligations with Deemed Exports & Duty Payment Advice under FTP. An individual inquired about fulfilling export obligations after importing an Offset Printing machine under the EPCG scheme without exporting printed items. A consultant advised that failing to meet export obligations could attract attention from the Revenue Department and suggested paying the duty with interest promptly. They mentioned that deemed exports, as specified in the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP), could count towards fulfilling the obligation. Another respondent highlighted that shipments under certain schemes could also fulfill the export obligation and reiterated the importance of paying duty and interest if obligations cannot be met.
