of <h1>Customs Brokers Licensing Update: License Expiry Optional; Automatic Suspension for Inactivity Over One Year Implemented in ICES.</h1> The Customs Brokers Licensing (Amendment) Regulations, 2021 have been implemented in the ICES system, affecting the validity period of Customs Broker licenses. The expiry date for licenses is now optional during registration, eliminating the need for manual extensions. If a Customs broker does not file any documents in the Customs EDI System for a year, their license will be automatically suspended nationwide. This suspension can be revoked using existing functionalities. The notice also serves as a standing order for officers and staff, with any difficulties to be reported to the specified email.
