<h1>Foreign Investment Limit in Indian Government Securities Raised to USD 30 Billion for SEBI-Registered Long-Term Investors.</h1> The circular informs Category-I Authorized Dealer banks about changes in foreign investment limits in Indian government securities. Previously set at USD 25 billion, the limit for foreign institutional investors and long-term investors is now increased to USD 30 billion, with an additional USD 5 billion specifically for SEBI-registered long-term investors such as Sovereign Wealth Funds, Multilateral Agencies, Pension/Insurance/Endowment Funds, and Foreign Central Banks. Existing investment conditions remain unchanged, and further operational guidelines will be issued by SEBI. The circular is issued under the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999.
