New Guidelines for Work Allocation Between CIT (DRs) and Sr. DRs Issued; Monthly Performance Reports Required.
The Board issued new instructions for work allocation between CIT (DRs) and Sr. DRs, superseding previous guidelines. CIT (DRs) will handle cases involving core search/block assessments, special or third member bench referrals, appeals against section 263 orders, cases with disputed amounts exceeding specific thresholds, and scam-related cases. Sr. DRs will manage all other cases. The CCIT can reassign cases in exceptional situations. Both CIT (DRs) and Sr. DRs must submit monthly performance reports on represented cases. The instruction includes a proforma for reporting cases handled by each category before the ITAT.
