Companies (Miscellaneous) Rules, 2014: Apply for Active Status with Form MSC-4 or Face Strike Off After 5 Years Dormancy.
An application to obtain active company status under the Companies (Miscellaneous) Rules, 2014, must be submitted using Form MSC-4 with the appropriate fees and accompanied by a return in Form MSC-3 for the relevant financial year. If a company remains dormant for five consecutive years, the Registrar will initiate the process to strike off its name. Upon reviewing the application, the Registrar issues a certificate in Form MSC-5 granting active status. If a dormant company engages in activities affecting its dormant status, directors must apply for active status within seven days. The Registrar may investigate and reclassify a dormant company as active if it is found to be functioning.
