Investigation into company's affairs enables tribunal to order inspector appointment where fraud, misfeasance or oppression is suggested.

The Tribunal may, on member applications meeting prescribed thresholds or on other applications or otherwise when satisfied of suggestive circumstances, order that the affairs of a company be investigated by inspectors appointed by the Central Government, after giving parties a reasonable opportunity to be heard; inspectors are to report as directed and where investigation proves fraud by officers or persons concerned in formation or management, those in default are subject to criminal punishment.
