Adjournment of public examination: officer may refer proceedings to Member who may continue inquiry or pass orders.

An officer who considers a public examination unduly protracted or for other sufficient cause may adjourn the whole or part of the examination to the Member and must submit his report; the Member may then hold the examination himself or pass such orders as he thinks fit.
