GST Exemption for Sponsorship of Events by National Sports Federations and Recognized Sports Organizations

Services related to the sponsorship of sporting events are exempt from GST under specific conditions. These include events organized by a national sports federation or its affiliates, where participants represent various regions or countries. Exemptions also apply to events organized by the Association of Indian Universities, Inter-University Sports Board, School Games Federation of India, All India Sports Council for the Deaf, Paralympic Committee of India, Special Olympics Bharat, the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, the Indian Olympic Association as part of national games, or under the Panchayat Yuva Kreeda Aur Khel Abhiyaan Scheme.
