of <h1>Approval Committee Formed for SEEPZ Special Economic Zone with Key Government Representatives Under SEZ Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government of India, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, has established the Approval Committee for the SEEPZ Special Economic Zone in Mumbai. The committee comprises several ex-officio members, including the Development Commissioner as Chairperson, representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Zonal Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, the Commissioner of Customs, and the Commissioner of Income-Tax. Additional members include representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Government of Maharashtra, and the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation. In the absence of the Development Commissioner, a Joint Development Commissioner will represent them.
