of <h1>India Updates Customs Notification: Key Clauses Omitted, References to Trade Marks Act, 1999 Updated Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> Notification No. 48/2007-CUSTOMS (N.T.) issued by the Government of India on May 8, 2007, amends the earlier notification No. 1/64-Customs dated January 18, 1964. The amendments involve the omission of clauses (iii), (iv), and (vii) from the original notification. Additionally, references to the Trade and Merchandise Marks Act, 1958, in clauses (viii), (ix), and (x) are updated to reflect the corresponding sections in the Trade Marks Act, 1999. These changes are made under the authority of section 11 of the Customs Act, 1962, in the public interest.
