of <h1>Excise Duty Update: Infant Preparations in Unit Containers Now Duty-Free; S.No. 78 Entries Removed per Notification 7/2007.</h1> Notification No. 7/2007-Central Excise, dated March 1, 2007, amends Notification No. 3/2005-Central Excise. The Central Government, under the Central Excise Act, 1944, introduces changes in the excise duty rates. Specifically, a new entry, S.No. 5A, is added to the table for preparations for infant use, put up in unit containers, which are now exempt from duty. Additionally, S.No. 78 and its related entries are removed. This notification aims to adjust the excise duty structure in the public interest.
