of <h1>Central Government Amends Excise Notification: New Conditions on Branded Jewelry, Updates on Wind Energy Components</h1> The Central Government has made amendments to Notification No. 06/2002-Central Excise, dated March 1, 2002, under the Central Excise Act, 1944. Changes include omitting certain provisos and substituting dates in the preamble, as well as modifying entries in the notification's table. Specific serial numbers have had their entries omitted or substituted, such as S.No. 295 and S.No. 171. Additionally, a new condition (20A) has been introduced, specifying that exemptions do not apply to branded jewelry. List 9 has been updated to include wind-operated electricity generators and their components.
