of <h1>Government Cancels Adani's Proposed SEZ in Gujarat; 2012 Approval Rescinded, Prior Actions Unaffected Under SEZ Act 2005.</h1> The Central Government has rescinded the notification for establishing a multi-product Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Village Dhrub, Taluka Mundra, District Kutch, Gujarat, initially proposed by Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited. Previously, an area of 1840 hectares was designated as an SEZ under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, and Special Economic Zone Rules, 2006, through a notification dated March 28, 2012. The formal approval for this SEZ has been canceled as per Order No. F.1/15/2011 SEZ dated October 12, 2012, with the rescission not affecting actions taken before this decision.
