of <h1>Government Approves Solar Special Economic Zone in Chhattisgarh; Designated as Inland Container Depot Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Central Government has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Solar Special Economic Zone (SEZ) by a private organization at Villages Mahrooinkurd and Chawardhal, District Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The approval was granted on May 10, 2010, and the area has been officially notified as an SEZ. An Approval Committee has been constituted to oversee the SEZ, comprising various government officials and a representative from the developing organization. The SEZ is designated as an Inland Container Depot effective January 31, 2011, under the Customs Act, 1962.
