of <h1>India Forms Approval Committee for Manikanchan SEZ in Kolkata Under SEZ Act 2005 with Key Government Officials</h1> The Government of India has established an Approval Committee for the Manikanchan Special Economic Zone in Salt Lake, Kolkata, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The committee comprises the Development Commissioner of Falta Special Economic Zone as Chairperson, and members including officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Zonal Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, the Commissioner of Customs, the Commissioner of Income-Tax, the Director of Banking, two officers from the Government of West Bengal, and a representative from the West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation Limited. In the Development Commissioner's absence, a Joint Development Commissioner will represent him.
