of <h1>New Rules for Rough Diamond Exports: Complete Within 12 Months; Jewelry Carriage for Tours Allowed with Conditions</h1> The Central Government has amended the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002 regarding bulk licenses for rough diamonds. The supply or export of rough diamonds must now be completed within 12 months from the license issuance date or within 3 months from the import date, whichever is later. Additionally, personal carriage of jewelry and stones for export promotion tours is permitted up to USD 100,000 with approval, provided the items are returned within 45 days. These changes are issued in the public interest.
