<h1>Central Government Updates Conditions for Exemptions on Goods Sold in India by EOU, FTZ, EHTP, STP Units</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 2/95-C.E. regarding goods sold in India by EOU, FTZ, EHTP, or STP units, as per Notification No. 4/98-C.E. dated April 24, 1998. The amendment specifies conditions under which exemptions can be availed. For non-software goods, they must be identical to exported goods, and the value cleared for home consumption must not exceed specified limits. For software, the home consumption value must not exceed 25% of total production. For rejects, scrap, waste, or remnants, the value must be within percentage limits set by the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002. The fourth proviso is omitted.
