The exemption applies to machinery listed in Chapter 84 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, when imported into India. The specified machines include Cold Box Core Making Machines, Hot Box Core Making Machines, Shoot Squeeze Moulding Machines, Impact Moulding Machines, and High Pressure Moulding Machines. These machines are exempt from the portion of customs duty exceeding thirty percent ad valorem and from the entire additional duty under section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act.
