Effective immediately.</h1> The Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback (Amendment) Rules, 1987, issued under Notification No. 125/87-Cus. dated March 4, 1987, amends the Customs and Central Excise Duties Drawback Rules, 1971. Exercising powers under the Customs Act, 1962, and the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944, the Central Government mandates the omission of the phrase 'from the date of export of such goods' in the provisos to rules 6 and 7 of the 1971 Rules. These amendments take effect upon their publication in the Official Gazette.
