of <h1>Customs Notification No. 242/86 Amended: Date Extended to March 31, 1988, Under Section 25(1) of Customs Act.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 242/86-Customs, originally dated April 11, 1986, under the powers granted by section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962. The amendment extends the date in paragraph 2 of the original notification from '31st March, 1987' to '31st March, 1988.' This change is deemed necessary in the public interest and is formalized through Notification No. 139/87-Cus, dated March 26, 1987, issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue.
