of <h1>Central Government Amends Customs Tariff Rates: Polypropylene at 20% and Serial No. 5 Reduced to 30%</h1> The Central Government has issued amendments to Notification No. 227/76-Cus, dated August 22, 1976, under the Customs Act, 1962. These amendments, effective as of Notification No. 312/87-Cus dated September 15, 1987, involve changes to the tariff rates in the annexed table. Specifically, the entry for Serial No. 4 has been updated to include polypropylene and copolymers of propylene with a 20% ad valorem rate. Additionally, the ad valorem rate for Serial No. 5 has been reduced from 60% to 30%. These changes are deemed necessary in the public interest.
