<h1>Customs Act Update: 'Pumps' Changed to 'Equipment' in Fuel-Injection Tariff Notifications for Public Welfare</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of Section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 262/89-Cus dated November 1, 1989, to amend previous notifications related to customs tariffs on components of fuel-injection pumps. The amendments involve substituting the word 'pumps' with 'equipment' in notifications 76/85-Customs, 77/85-Customs, and 78/85-Customs, all dated March 17, 1985. This change is made in the interest of public welfare as determined by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue.
