of <h1>Customs Act Amendment: Inclusion of Nhava-Sheva in Ports List Effective November 1, 1989, Under Section 25(1)</h1> The Central Government has amended the earlier notification No. 116-Customs dated March 30, 1988, under the Customs Act, 1962. This amendment, effective from November 1, 1989, modifies condition (e) by replacing the phrase 'sea ports at Kandla, Bombay' with 'sea ports at Kandla, Bombay, Nhava-Sheva.' This change is made under the powers granted by Section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest.
