<h1>India's Central Government Exempts Chapter 96 Goods from Specific Customs Duties Under Notification No. 190/90-Cus</h1> The Central Government of India, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 190/90-Cus dated May 31, 1990, to exempt certain goods under Chapter 96 from specific customs duties. This supersedes the previous notification No. 50/84-Customs from March 1, 1984. The exemption applies to goods such as those under heading 96.06 at 100% ad valorem, zip coils, rolls, and tapes under heading 96.07 at Rs. 2.50 per meter, zip fasteners at the same rate, and parts of zip fasteners under heading 9607.20 at 150% ad valorem.
