of <h1>Customs Duty Exemption for SKD and CKD Vehicle Components with Engines Under 1000cc; Excludes Commercial and Two/Three-Wheelers</h1> The notification exempts components of motor vehicles in semi-knocked down (SKD) and completely knocked down (CKD) packs, required for manufacturing vehicles with engine capacities not exceeding 1000 cubic centimeters, from certain customs duties. This exemption excludes commercial vehicles, motor cars, three-wheeled, and two-wheeled vehicles. Conditions for exemption include certification by a qualified officer, importation under an approved program, and compliance with specified usage and accounting requirements. Additionally, the components must be for fuel-efficient vehicles, defined as petrol-driven vehicles achieving at least 19 kilometers per liter, certified via specific testing procedures.
