of <h1>Central Government Sets 15% Customs Duty on Prawn Feed, Fish Meal Under Notification No. 17/93-Cus</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 17/93-Cus dated February 28, 1993, establishing an effective customs duty rate of 15% ad valorem on prawn feed and fish meal. This applies to products under sub-heading No. 2301.20 or 2309.90 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, when imported into India. The notification exempts these items from any customs duty exceeding this specified rate, as deemed necessary in the public interest.
