of <h1>Central Government Amends Six Customs Notifications to Adjust Ad Valorem Duty Rates Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Central Government, exercising its authority under the Customs Act, 1962, has amended six customs notifications to adjust the ad valorem duty rates. The amendments include changes to the duty rates as follows: Notification No. 192/80 changes from 40% to 70%, No. 219/84 from 15% to 20%, No. 21/85 from 25% to 70%, No. 376/85 from 45% to 50%, No. 58/90 from 10% to 15% in two instances, and No. 74/91 from 20% to 65%. These adjustments are deemed necessary in the public interest.
