<h1>Government Amends Customs Notification to Alter Conditions on Iron and Steel Inputs; Interest Clause Added Under Section 25</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 10/95-Customs, dated March 7, 1995, concerning inputs required for the manufacture of iron and steel intermediates. The amendments include the removal of condition (2), the addition of a clause in condition (3) requiring interest at 24% per annum from the date of clearance of the inputs, and the omission of the phrase 'a certificate from the Licensing Authority in' from condition (4). These changes are made under the authority of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962, in the public interest.
