of <h1>Central Government Amends Customs Notifications to Include More Authorized Agencies for Trade Under Customs Act 1962</h1> The Central Government has issued Notification No. 57/97-Cus., dated 3rd July 1997, amending previous customs notifications under the Customs Act, 1962. The amendments involve replacing references to 'Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation of India Limited and the State Bank of India' with 'Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation of India Limited, the Handicraft and Handloom Export Corporation, the State Trading Corporation, the State Bank of India, and any agency authorized by the Reserve Bank of India' in Notifications 3/88-Cus., 277/90-Cus., 146/93-Cus., and 177/94-Cus. This change is made in the public interest.
